It's time to get to know your internet marketing team a little bit better!
Our MSW Interactive Designs team has grown again! We have a flourishing group of employees, and it seems like we're always adding to the fun. We're proud to introduce our new rockstar employee, Katelyn Bartels. She has jumped in, and already become an integral part of our team. Here are some fun facts about Katelyn to help you get to know her a bit!
Q: What brought you to the Lake of the Ozarks?
A: I grew up in Osage Beach and call the Lake area my home. My family moved over to Linn Creek after I left for college. I’m currently attending Stephens College in Columbia, MO, but I’m glad to be back here for the summer.Q: How did you get started in the internet marketing field?
A: I’m currently pursuing a BS in Strategic Communication: Design. I really started to fall in love with the analytics of internet marketing when I held the position of Director of Social Media and Outreach for Stephens Life Magazine. This field is always changing and evolving, and it never gets boring!Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: My favorite part about my job is writing. I love putting on a different voice for each of our clients and figuring out how to effectively speak to different audiences. Because of all the research we do, it’s crazy how many random facts I know now about various occupations and topics! I’m also so grateful for the people I get to work with every day. The company culture is supportive, inspiring, and fun.Q: What’s your favorite thing to do when you’re not at work?
A: I absolutely love playing games with my family and friends. Card games, board games, video games, you name it. You can always count on my boyfriend, Thomas, and I to bring along a fun game!Q: Who’s your family?
A: Speaking of family, I’m lucky enough to have two built in best friends – My younger sisters, Megan and Mallory. Family is incredibly important to me, and so is our 8 year old puppy, Mocha 😊
Q: What did you want to be when you grew up?
A: Ever since I was old enough for my parents to bring me to a Mizzou football game, I wanted to go to the University of Missouri’s School of Journalism and be a writer. Slight change of plans… But now I’m next-door at Stephens and loving every minute.Q: What’s something that very few people know about you?
A: Hmm… There’s not much people don’t know about me. This question is hard! Well, some might not know that I’m technically a collegiate athlete! Even though my program got cut last spring, lol.Q: What’s on your bucket list?
A: I’ve wanted to go to Bora Bora for a long time now. I absolutely love the beach, and the photos of that place are gorgeous. Maybe someday!
Q: Who inspires you?
A: I don’t know if one singular person inspires me… I pull inspiration from a lot of places. My mom, dad, and sisters inspire me every day, but my friends also always push me to be a better me.Q: What is your favorite social media platform and why?
A: Personally, Pinterest, hands down. There’s little to no competition or toxic comparison when it comes to Pinterest, just people sharing their ideas and creations. In a business sense, though, Facebook.
