GET TO KNOW US - Meet Kristina Keeling
It's time to get to know your internet marketing team a little bit better!
We've said it before, and we'll say it again: customer relationships are a two-way street. Our ongoing "get to know us" blog series is designed to help our clients get to know our team in order to further strengthen our relationships. We hope you're enjoying reading the series as much as we're enjoying putting them together! So far we have introduced you to the owners of MSW Interactive Designs, Mike and Sandy Waggett, and team members Keith Lucas, Erin Burdette, Bailey Puppel, Deanna Powell, and Laurel Leurquin. This week, we're continuing the series by introducing you to one of our Social Media Coordinators, Kristina Keeling.
Q: What brought you to the Lake of the Ozarks?
A: During my last semester in college, I was informed of the job opportunity at MSW from my marketing professor. I looked into the Lake Area and really liked it, so I applied. A week after graduation, I was moving to the Lake!
Q: How did you get started in the internet marketing field?
A: While looking into different degrees that University of Central Missouri offers, I found public relations. I really liked the program and thought it was very innovative. I actually took several classes that revolved around online marketing and social media. I really enjoyed the classes, and now I work in the field!
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love learning about new topics and writing about what I learned. I also enjoy telling the public about the different services these companies offer and how they can help them.
Q: What's your favorite thing to do when you're not at work?
A: I have a puppy, Ajax, and I love spending time with him, taking him on walks and exploring our new town. I also love to crochet! I have been working on a blanket for the past 4 winters - it will get done eventually!
Q: Who's your family?
A: I have a huge extended family, but I am an only child. My parents live in Folsom, CA (where I am from originally). I try and go out and visit them as much as I can. My family that I live with here in Missouri consist of my puppy, Ajax, who is a boxer and my cat, Jackie, who is a Maine Coone.
Q: What did you want to be when you grew up?
A: I wanted to be a vet when I was in elementary school; however, I realized that it would be surrounded by sick pets all the time and that was just too sad. It wasn’t until I was in community college that I realized I wanted to marketing and communications.
Q: What's something that very few people know about you?
A: I am a huge Disney fanatic! Okay - this may not be a secret. As a child, my family would take regular trips to Disneyland, which helped fuel my love of all things Disney.
Q: What's on your bucket list?
A: I would love to travel to Ireland. I am part Irish and I would love to visit and learn more about my family’s history - and, of course, while I am there I’ll have to kiss the Blarney Stone.
Q: What is your favorite social media platform and why?
A: I would say that my favorite to use would be Facebook or Instagram, as I don’t do much personally on the other platforms. However, my favorite platform to use at work would be Blogger, as I love to write. I have been thinking of starting my own blog, but it is hard to get started when that’s what you do for a living.
Q: Who inspires you?
A: My parents have supported me through so many stages of my life, from moving half way across the country for school to helping me hunt for jobs. I know that no matter what they are just a phone call away with words of encouragement. I would not be the person I am today without their love and support. They inspire me every day to be a better person.
