GET TO KNOW US - Meet Keith Lucas

It's time to get to know your internet marketing team a little bit better!

MSW Interactive Designs is in the middle of a blog series designed to help you, our valued client, get to know our team of internet marketing professionals a little bit better. We pride ourselves on building strong relationships with every one of our clients, and we believe that being transparent with each other and our clients is a big part of maintaining those relationships. This week, we are excited to continue our series by introducing one of our Web Designers and WordPress Expert, Mr. Keith Lucas.

Q:  What brought you to the Lake of the Ozarks?
A:  My wife, Erin, graduated high school here and her parents still live here. We would come to visit frequently and each time it got harder to go back to Wentzville. We decided after our first child that we wanted our kids to be Camdenton Lakers, so Erin applied for a transfer with Walgreens to the Lake.

Q:  How did you get started in the internet marketing field?
A:  Before moving to the Lake, I worked as a marketing coordinator for a financial/insurance company, and I learned a little bit of web design from a coworker. When we moved down, I worked in insurance sales and service, but wanted to get back to a more traditional marketing career. So I decided to use my GI Bill to get my 3rd degree, this one in Web Design.

Q:  What do you like most about your job?
A:  I love to be creative, and ever since I was young I have enjoyed problem solving. Technology is a passion, and my job is all about marketing and tech. As web designer, I get to work with a wide variety of businesses and organizations; no website project is the same.

Q:  What's your favorite thing to do when you're not at work?
A:  I’m a family guy, so I spend most of my free time with the kids. I also love sports, movies, swimming, grilling and…. beer. I’m also very active in the Camdenton VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars).

Q:  Who's your family?
A:  I am married with a 9-year-old daughter, 4-year-old son, and a 12-year-old dog.

Q:  What did you want to be when you grew up?
A:  As a kid, I wanted to be a soldier or teacher.

Q:  What's something that very few people know about you?
A:  I had 5 minutes of international fame in 2004, when I graduated from University of Missouri St. Louis via satellite from Iraq. The story was covered by the Associated Press, BBC, and the St. Louis media.

Q:  What's on your bucket list?
A:  My bucket list mainly involves traveling to places like Pearl Harbor, NYC, and London. I’d love to go to Omaha Beach in Normandy, France. It was one of the main landing areas for the US as they entered into World War II on D-Day. I’m proud to be born on D-Day (June 6). I would also love to try stand-up comedy.

Q:  What is your favorite social media platform and why?
A:  I prefer Facebook because of its large audience and the variety of content on it.

Q:  Who inspires you?
A:  My wife inspires me every day with the way she balances a demanding career and her role as a great mother. I am inspired by my fellow veterans that continue to answer the call and serve their community. I am inspired by my parents that worked hard to give me and 2 brothers the opportunities to succeed.
