MSW Interactive Designs Makes $15,000 Donation
Donation will Help Military Families of the Chattanooga, TN Shootings
“MSW has strong roots in the Tennessee area, because our office was located in Knoxville, TN from 2001 – 2009,” said Mike Waggett, owner of MSW Interactive Designs and retired Air Force Colonel. “We have had a relationship with Tradebank of Knoxville (a company that manages bartering of services between businesses) since 2001. Over the years we have accrued a significant balance of trade dollars from clients in the Tennessee area. Since Tradebank does not operate in Missouri (where our company is currently located), we have very little opportunity to use this balance. After hearing about the shooting, I was horrified at this senseless act of violence against our military, and immediately began to look for ways to help. The Marine Corps League of Chattanooga is also a Tennessee Tradebank member, and once I found that out, it was a no-brainer to donate our balance to them.”
Colonel Waggett reached out to Carl Pittman, Commandant of the Chattanooga Marine Corps League to coordinate the donation. “This donation will help many military members, both active duty and veterans, during this traumatic time in our community.” said Carl Pittman. “We can help provide support to the families of the service members killed, support homeless veterans by providing winter clothing and a dry place to sleep, and provide education and other support to veterans and their family members. This donation will make Chattanooga area veterans lives a little better. The donation that MSW Interactive Designs has made will be felt all across our area.”
